The key can be any word or sentence of your choosing, and is used when the 128-bits AES encryption algorithm encrypts your files.Use a unique key that you can remember,keep your encryption key safe. If you forget your key, your data could not be restored.The maximum length of the encryption key is 30, and the minimum is 6.
It's impossible to use the same client ID with a different encryption key. A new client ID can be created instead of the used one with new encryption key, then the data must sent over again.
System state backup creates a backup file for critical system related components like the Registry, boot files.The following services will be backed up as well: Active Directory Service Certificate Service database COM+ Class Registration database SYSVOL directory
System state resotre will recover the registry,active directory and other important files, to perform a system state resotre please do the following: 1.Install the same operating system version 2.Update it with the same service-pack as the previous system 3.Install the DataShield client with the same Client ID, password and encryption key. 4.Click ""Restore"", select the date of backup and click restore to a file 5.Reboot the server and press F8 when the server is booting 6.Select Restore Active Directory (Windows Domain Controllers only) 7.The server will boot in Safe Mode. 8.Go to: start => run type “ntbackup” and click ok. 9.Ntbackup will start. Click Restore Wizard in the main menu 11.Click next 12.Import file 13.Find the system state file, select it and click OK 14.Select System State in the left windows and click next 15.The System State is being restored, when the restore is done, click close, the server will ask to reboot. Click yes and let the server reboot normally The System State restore is now complete
