How to install an Atera agent?
To install the agent, select your platform (Windows, macOS, or Linux) and follow these steps:
- For Windows and macOS, choose the installer, assign to a customer (optional), and run the installer or use the provided script. Ensure Rosetta is installed for M1/M2 Macs.
- For Linux, copy and run the script with admin permissions. Click “Done” once completed, and the agent will appear in the Devices list within minutes.

Atera follows a change management process for changes to the production environment. All code changes must undergo a peer code review and include automated unit, functional, and security testing. Testing is performed after deployments to validate application functionality. If validation fails, the application is rolled back to its previous version.
