Let’s also look at G2’s user satisfaction comparison of Atera and SysAid. It considers each platform’s ease of use, setup, quality of support, and how well it meets user requirements.

We can clearly see Atera taking a lead in most categories:

#1: Features and capabilities

Atera and SysAid are both IT management tools, but ultimately, they take different approaches to it.

Atera is an autonomous IT system that combines RMM, patch management, remote access,  ticketing, network discovery, and its AI agents, whereas SysAid’s primary focus is on IT service management (ITSM).

Atera’s top offerings include:

  • RMM software to manage endpoints and troubleshoot issues autonomously
  • AI agents to handle manual and repetitive tasks autonomously
  • Patch management to keep systems updated and secure
  • Remote access for fast troubleshooting of devices
  • Network Discovery to scan and map all connected devices
  • Ticketing system with AI to automatically summarize and respond to tickets

SysAid’s key ITSM features include asset management, incident management, knowledge base, patch management, reporting, and automation. With SysAid’s focus entirely on ITSM, it arguably leaves out other key IT features, such as robust RMM software.

With Atera, IT teams don’t have to invest in redundant software for IT management. Plus, with Agentic AI at the core of our platform, running your IT operations is easier (and more autonomous) than ever before.

Both Atera and SysAid also offer integrations to extend the functionality. Atera has the added benefit of our integrations for Robin (including with SysAid), which ensures our AI agents work wherever your IT lives.

#2: Agentic AI development

Atera and SysAid have both made marks in the Agentic AI space with their AI agents.

On G2’s list of the best AIOps platforms in summer 2026, Atera was selected as the #1 leader in the AIOps space, while SysAid landed in the 3rd spot:

G2’s Enterprise AIOps Platforms Results

G2’s Enterprise AIOps Platforms Results Index ranks Atera #1 with a score of 8.96, ahead of IBM Turbonomic, SysAid, and PagerDuty.

Robin, Atera’s autonomous IT agent, was first launched in May 2025 as IT Autopilot, and rebranded as Robin in March 2026.

Unlike most AI tools that just assist, Robin is capable of solving real-world IT issues on its own. It does this by following a four-step process:

  1. Diagnose: Robin receives the request, verifies the user against identity providers like Okta, Azure AD, or Google, and asks follow-up questions to gather the context it needs.
  2. Remediate: Robin takes the approved action directly on the device, server, network, or in the cloud, routing for approval only when a step requires it.
  3. Verify: Robin confirms the issue is actually resolved before closing anything, escalating to a technician with full context if it isn’t.
  4. Close: Robin updates the ticket in the existing ITSM with the outcome, logging every request, action, approval, and outcome for governance and compliance.

SysAid’s Agentic AI also revolves around its AI agents. SysAid’s AI agents first reached availability in March 2025, and from the beginning, their goal was to offer AI agents that specialize in different areas within IT operations.

For example, the AI agents can onboard new employees across multiple systems, analyze ticket trends to predict issues, and flag assets with expiring warranties.

Similar to Robin, SysAid’s agents reach further than chat and ticket triage, into the identity and device layers. However, SysAid’s own agent library of 100+ prebuilt agents shows no action that reaches a server, mainframe, or network itself.

Robin’s remediation extends directly into identity and device layers, as well as into server, mainframe, and network layers.

Robin can handle tasks like triaging suspicious emails, isolating Wi-Fi faults, provisioning VPN access during onboarding, and much more. See all Robin use cases here.

Robin use cases

The two companies also report results differently. Robin publishes a single, named resolution rate: up to 92% of Tier-1 and complex Tier-2 technical incidents resolved autonomously, at a 120-second average resolution time.

SysAid does not publish an equivalent company-wide figure. Its results are customer-specific; for example, Temco Logistics cut ticket volume 40% by automating password resets and device wipes.

#3: Pricing and value for money

At Atera, we’re big advocates of transparent pricing. Our IT department pricing plans (as well as MSP pricing plans) are based solely on the number of technicians using the platform.

Atera's pricing

This makes scaling more predictable, as you can add unlimited endpoints/devices without skyrocketing your monthly/annual cost.

SysAid’s pricing changed recently; it was previously based on a custom quotation, but is now publicly available. The pricing starts at $89/month per agent, and there’s also an enterprise plan for those with 20 or more agents.

SysAid’s pricing

While SysAid’s pricing is more affordable, it lacks key IT management features, most notably RMM software. Layering RMM pricing on top of SysAid’s base plan changes the math quickly.

#4: User interface and usability

Let’s continue with an important one: the user interfaces of Atera and SysAid.

On G2’s comparison, we can see that Atera has higher ratings for all ease of use categories, which are directly linked to how intuitive user interfaces are:

G2 Category1. Atera2. SysAid
1. Ease of Use9.2 (1,100+ reviews)9.0 (500+ reviews)
2. Ease of Setup9.2 (970+ reviews)8.5 (500+ reviews)
3. Ease of Admin9.0 (620+ reviews)8.8 (500+ reviews)

The reason for our high scores is that, from the ground up, Atera’s user interfaces are built to be easy to use. No matter how big (or small) your team is, onboarding new technicians can be done in hours, not days or weeks.

From Atera’s main dashboard view, you get a bird’s-eye view of the health of your IT environment:

In comparison, here’s how SysAid’s admin dashboard looks:

SysAid’s admin dashboard

For SysAid (especially for its ticketing system), not all customers have been happy with how it works.

In fact, most SysAid cons on G2 are related to a steep learning curve, bad UI, or missing features.

Another Reddit user was also disappointed in SysAid’s ticketing system and moved to Atera for that reason. He simply commented, “We left SysAid for similar reasons and went to Atera. Been very happy with it.”

With Agentic AI at the core of Atera’s ticketing system, this is even more relevant. Atera’s AI ticketing system comes with AI Copilot at no extra cost, plus Robin is available as an add-on for enterprises, handling up to 92% of technical incidents autonomously.

#5: Customer support and community

With Atera, all users have access to 24/7 live chat and email support, ensuring you can reach out for help at all times.

Users can also look for answers in our extensive knowledge base and in our active IT community, where other IT professionals share best practices and brainstorm about new features on Atera.

For SysAid, live chat and email support are available, but not for all users. For example, if you’re on the Standard plan, you have no live chat support option and can only reach help via email, six days a week.

SysAid plans

At Atera, we offer 24/7 support for all users, and enterprises also have access to a dedicated onboarding manager, so you get up and running as quickly as possible.

#6: Security and compliance

At Atera, we take RMM security seriously and adhere to industry standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27017:2015.

We also equip users with industry-leading security features, enabling them to maintain secure IT environments. These include:

  • Role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Real-time monitoring and alerting
  • Robust logging and auditing
  • Strong multi-factor authentication
  • Data encryption
  • Patch management
  • Security for our AI agents
  • Broad security integrations

SysAid has, unfortunately, received some backlash regarding its security. CISA added two SysAid on-premises vulnerabilities to its KEV catalog. While this doesn’t mean the systems have been exploited, it does signal that the flaws are severe enough to warrant immediate attention.

#7: User feedback and reviews

On G2 alone, Atera has received 1,200+ reviews with an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.0 stars, while SysAid has 750+ reviews with a rating of 4.5 out of 5.0 stars.

Both platforms are praised by users, but for different reasons.

Users love Atera’s innovative Agentic AI technology, fair per-technician pricing, and capabilities that fit both enterprises and startups.

Alan S. on G2 commented on Atera’s unified features and AI capabilities:

“The most helpful of using Atera is that you have both RMM and PSA in one platform and also the AI capabilities with Copilot and Robin.”

Another user, Dieter S., also complimented Atera’s AI and said,

  • “AI is built-in on the entire ecosystem and responds based on knowledge base articles that we created ourselves (either internal only or externally visible for the customer).”

Emil C. on G2 left a longer review on Atera’s advantages:

In comparison, SysAid’s positive feedback is mainly related to its customer support and automation features.

For SysAid, there has also been criticism of its pricing system. One Reddit user said, “Everything is an additional add-on for another fee. Everything you need to implement requires buying dev time. You can’t even access your own logs or backups.”

Move from automated to fully autonomous IT

Of Atera and SysAid, only Atera incorporates true Agentic AI technology through Robin, which is capable of resolving up to 92% of Tier-1 and complex Tier-2 technical incidents.

We’re not just building another AI assistant for the market. We’re redefining how IT operations are managed with an autonomous IT agent that tackles manual and repetitive tasks fully autonomously.

While SysAid also offers AI agents that can reach into the identity and device layer, Robin stands out by extending that reach into servers, mainframes, and networks too, resolving issues without a technician or employee confirming each step.
